Sam, founder of the Alliance For Leadership, has more than 22 years business experience in Human Resources, Performance Management & Search. He served as a Director of HR and OD with a major manufacturer and has over a dozen years with Human Resources, Leadership Development, Executive Coaching, and Retained Search firms. He has broad functional experience in manufacturing, life sciences, financial services and general management. Sam consistently generates one million dollars in revenue and has received numerous Sales & Marketing recognitions. Sam’s work has resulted in a savings of $12 million in manufacturing costs, reduced sales force turnover from 50% to 15%, and increased sales by 5%. The results of his performance improvement strategies and projects have been published in more than 30 professional publications.
Bert Marchio, MBA
Financial Management
Bert brings 25 years of experience in senior financial leadership positions in both the public and private sectors, with the last 17 years spent in the pharmaceutical industry, most recently as the Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer of Informed Medical Communications. Prior to that, he served as Vice President, Treasurer of MedPointe where he helped lead the financial turnaround and eventual sale of the company. During his tenure, the value of MedPointe shares doubled and the company saw a dramatic improvement in cash flow. Bert also helped finance the domestic and international growth of Alpharma from under $300M in sales (1992) to approximately $1.3B (2005) as their Vice President, Treasurer.

Ann has 25+ years of domestic and global Human Resources experience within pharmaceutical, healthcare, manufacturing, and not-for-profit organizations. Her broad range of senior-level expertise includes talent and organizational development, change management, culture, coaching, talent acquisition, performance management, employee relations and compliance. Most of Ann’s career was spent within the pharmaceutical industry as an executive business partner for multiple client areas, participating in several business expansions and leading/facilitating organizational development and change initiatives. She has been nationally and internationally recognized for her innovations, business contributions and change leadership research.
Sheri Murad, PHR

Sheri brings 20 years of Human Resources experience, spanning both the global and domestic HR arenas. She has also worked across industries including pharmaceutical, IT consulting, consumer products, chemicals, as well as in outsourced environments. She started her HR career in expatriate management at Colgate Palmolive in New York where she was responsible for vendor relationships and policy development. She later joined Prudential International in a start-up program where she was charged with building a Global HR Services team to be housed on-site at a major client, Allied Signal (Honeywell), in Morristown, NJ. Here she successfully managed an outsourced team and client services, policy development, and the transition of their global expat management systems.

Mike’s 27 year career in the biopharmaceutical industry has ranged from working in small emerging to large biopharmaceutical companies. He started his industrial career in drug discovery as Group Leader of Immunology & Microbiology at American Cyanamid (Pfizer) and, advancing two candidates to product development. He joined a JV of DuPont and ConAgra, DCV Biologics LLC, as Director of Clinical, Regulatory and Quality Affairs. Headvanced2 products into clinical development, established an internal QA/QC program, successfully filed 2 GRAS affirmations, as well as serving as primary regulatory liaison to the FDA. He later joined SRA Life Sciences, an emerging CRO, as Director of Program Development helping to establish internal processes and support to expand their marketed services. He joined the Medical Affairs department at Sanofi Pharmaceuticals Inc. (Sanofi), where he served 8 yrs. as Medical Director of Internal Medicine Products that covered orthopedic, rheumatology and physiatry specialty markets, as well as medical oversight of 53 non-promoted drugs, collectively accounting for $80MM in sales.
